Current artist inspired piece - I really liked these 3D wall roses by Tiffanie Turner and wanted to try and make one as a ceramic rose. The layering of the petals was difficult but in the end I think it turned out well. I also had a cool idea to add the rose onto my lidded box which I think turned out really cute. Next time I would try to keep the clay more wet so that the thin parts would not crack. I really like how this piece came out and I think it looks like a pretty close ceramic replica of the paper flowers.
Useful piece - I made a small trinket tray for my jewelry since I am always losing jewelry. I love how vibrant the yellow came out orange came out. I plan to take this to college with me and keep it on my desk or night stand. Although I think I used too much brown or too dark of a brown for the seeds of the flower. Next time I would use a wider brush or lighter color.
