Handles on piece- I really like the shape of these handles, especially where it connects on the bottom sides. I feel that I could have smoothed the handles out a little more and made the clay more even. I also could have made the handles more even in size. I also would have made them more sturdy, unfortunately on handle fell off.
Series of four (they are glazed, just waiting for the last 2 to be fired then I can take a picture with all 4 painted)- I decided to make 4 trinket trays since I always use trinket trays for jewelry and little things. I love how these little flower trays came out. All together they look like a little bouquet. I did 2 at a time so 2 of them are painted slightly different form the other 2. I wish I had done them all perfectly the same, luckily it’s not very noticeable.
Lidded box- I love how this box! I am very proud of how the rose and engraved designs came out. The box was pretty easy to construct but the rose was a bit harder. Although the construction was hard, it was really fun to try and I learned a lot. I had not done such detailed work before so I was able to learn how to work gently and accurately.
Monster- This turned out even better than I expected! I knew the arms and ears would be hard to do but they turned out really good and did not break off. I think it is also really cute and very accurate to the original drawing by Renata. I can’t wait to show the student their 3d monster, I hope they love it! I made it so that they can have it sit on a shelf or night stand so hopefully they can display it.
